High School for Recording Arts Portland hosts open house
March 30, 2010
It’s official–The High School for Recording Arts Portland is the City of Portland’s newest public charter school opening in the fall of 2011. To celebrate, the group will host an open house on Saturday, April 3rd from 2 to 10 PM at the Salmon Street Studios.
“Musicians will play, stories will be told, and you can come meet others who have been sparked by this movement and are ready to spin more revolutions per minute than ever seen before!!!!” The full schedule is posted below HSRAP’s release.
During these past winter months the HSRAP development team has been tirelessly working on legal contracts and final report writings so that the State of Oregon could determine us an official educational institution. It has been a huge learning process for us all and now, IT IS TIME TO CELEBRATE!!
In less than a year we have gone from a “what if we could…” idea to manifesting our community’s destiny as the innovators of an educational reform movement that will truly meet our youth.
The support that we have received to bring about High School for Recording Arts Portland has been truly awe-inspiring. We have grown from a team of 5 to a team of 500 almost entirely through word of mouth. So many of you have asked how to help and get involved and up until now we have needed to just stay focused on the work at hand, but we appreciate you beyond measure and now we are ready for you and we need you!
